UK Society for Biomaterials
The democratic Society for the whole biomaterials community.
Members of the UKSB can participate fully in all the activities of the Society. This includes standing for council, voting at the business meeting and obtaining reduced registration fees for scientific meetings.
Who can Join?
Anybody with an interest in biomaterials research. This includes medical materials science, biosensors, biomechanics, biocompatibility, tissue engineering, and many other subjects. Indeed, feedback to the joint working party indicated that the strength of our community lay in its diversity and that therefore people of all specialties should join. Academics, clinicians and the biomaterials industry are encouraged to join and help to develop the subject of biomaterials in the UK.
Membership rules have recently changed and will now run from 1st May-30th April.
Membership fees are as follows:
- Full membership: £30
- PhD student membership: £20
- Final year Undergraduates/Taught postgraduates: Free
