Dr Caroline Taylor

Caroline S. Taylor is a Postdoctoral Research Associate working for Professor John W. Haycock at The University of Sheffield. Caroline’s research is on peripheral nerve repair, and improving current nerve guide conduits. Caroline undertook her PhD at Sheffield whilst working full time as a Research technician on an EU funded project called Neurimp. Neurimp was a large EU consortium, designing a new novel nerve guide conduit for market. Caroline has also undertaken PDRA positions in Bone and Cartilage tissue engineering, cardiovascular tissue engineering, cancer biology and nanomedicine.

Caroline is also the UK National Chapter Representative at YSF-ESB. She is a large advocate for women in STEM careers and enjoys sharing her research with the general public at many events. Outside of work, Caroline enjoys spending time with her son and husband, playing the piano and attending gin schools, to create her own gin! Contact Caroline at c.s.taylor@sheffield.ac.uk
